Caboche Pendant Lamp

A Mosaic of Refractions & The Soul of the Pearl
The Caboche is a study in "Architectural Jewelry." Designed by the legendary duo Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto, this fixture is characterized by its external diffuser made of a crown of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) spheres. These "beads" act as thousands of tiny prisms, capturing the light from the internal satin-finish blown glass diffuser and projecting it 360 degrees into the room. The result is an extraordinary "sparkling" effect that transforms any space into a radiant, immersive environment. The Caboche is a hero product for "Modern Glam," "Contemporary Luxe," and "Jewel-Inspired" interiors. It is a favorite for designers who want to bridge the gap between "Traditional Elegance" and "Futuristic Minimal."

Frequently Asked Questions

How do the Caboche "beads" stay on the lamp?
The Caboche Plus versions use a new twist-lock system. Each sphere is securely attached to a transparent polycarbonate crown. This ensures that the spheres stay perfectly aligned for maximum light dispersion while remaining easy to remove for cleaning.

Is the Caboche Pendant dimmable?
Yes. The LED versions of the Media and Grande sizes are fully dimmable (supporting 0-10V, PUSH, or DALI protocols). The halogen versions can be dimmed with any standard wall-mounted trailing-edge dimmer, allowing you to shift from "Sparkling Gala" to "Intimate Glow" in seconds.

Does the lamp provide direct light for a table?
Absolutely. While the spheres provide a 360-degree ambient glow, the satin-finish lower diffuser ensures that a strong, soft light is directed downward onto your surfaces, making it as functional as it is beautiful.

The Malane Aesthetic: The 360-Degree Jewel

The Caboche is designed to be the "protagonist" of the room. It doesn't just hang; it performs.

Refractive Symmetry: Each sphere recreates the image of the light source, meaning the lamp looks different from every angle as the viewer moves through the space.

The "Floating" Effect: In the Media and Grande versions, the use of three ultra-thin stainless steel cables makes the large, brilliant crown appear as if it is levitating in the air.
