Floating Leaf Chandelier

Designed to mimic the organic, weightless descent of autumn leaves caught in a breeze, it is a high-volume fixture that transforms a room into a living art gallery.

Within the Malane Lighting ecosystem, this piece is part of the "Nature's Motion" series, sharing its design DNA with the Flying Leaves and Breezeleaf models, but offering a more dense, clustered "canopy" effect.

The Aesthetic: The fixture features dozens (typically 83 for the standard grand size) of hand-etched glass leaves. Each leaf has a textured, vein-like surface that captures light and creates a shimmering, refractive display across your walls.

The "Weightless" Design: The leaves are suspended by nearly invisible, high-tensile aircraft cables. This creates the "floating" illusion, making the heavy glass elements appear to drift effortlessly in the air.

Strategic Spotlighting: Unlike chandeliers with central bulbs, this model often utilizes integrated LED spotlights (21 heads in the standard version) hidden within the ceiling canopy to project light downward through the glass leaves.

Support for "Bespoke Drawings"

Malane Lighting is best known for its Rapid Design Solutions, specifically for the Floating Leaf model:

AutoCAD & 3D Modeling: If you provide your floor plans, Malane’s in-house team generates 2D AutoCAD blueprints and 3D models. This allows your architect or contractor to visualize the leaf "spread" before purchase.

Variable Density: You can request a "Thick Canopy" for a more dramatic, opaque look or a "Sparse Drift" for a minimalist, airy feel.

Finish Swaps: While Gold + Clear is the trend-leader for warmth, a Silver + Smoke glass finish is available for a more contemporary, "winter frost" aesthetic.

Expert Tips

The "Nature-In" Foyer: For homes with large glass windows and views of nature, the Floating Leaf acts as an interior extension of the outdoors. Position it so it catches the natural sunlight during the day; the textured glass will "twinkle" even when the power is off.

Dining Under the Canopy: In a formal dining room, the 120cm diameter provides perfect coverage for a 60-inch round table or an 8-to-10 seat rectangular table.

Stairwell "Waterfall": Because the wires are adjustable up to 200cm+ (standard), you can stagger the leaves in a spiral pattern to follow the curve of a grand staircase.

Lead Time: Because of the custom drawing and hand-assembly process, lead times typically range from 10 to 12 weeks.
