Flying Leaves Chandelier

The Flying Leaves Chandelier by Malane Lighting is a masterpiece of "Kinetic Biophilic Design." While the Floating and Fluttering models focus on clusters, the Flying edition is defined by its horizontal "swept" arrangement, designed to mimic a strong gust of wind lifting autumn leaves and carrying them across a room.

It is arguably the most dynamic model in the "Nature's Motion" series, transforming any high-volume space into a flowing, sculptural narrative

The Aesthetic: This fixture utilizes an asymmetrical, linear flow. Instead of a centered cluster, the hand-blown glass leaves are arranged to look as if they are in transit, making it the perfect architectural tool for connecting two separate areas of an open-plan room.

Refractive "Soda" Glass: the glass leaves feature the "Soda Effect"—tiny, microscopic air bubbles trapped within the crystal. These bubbles catch the integrated LED light, creating an effervescent, sparkling quality that mimics dew or frost.

The "Grand" Scale: The definitive "Grand Statement" size is massive, measuring approximately L 390 cm x H 270 cm (roughly 12.8 ft long by 8.8 ft tall). This scale is specifically engineered for long dining halls, grand corridors, or luxury hotel foyers.

Support for "Bespoke Drawings"

Because of its extreme horizontal spread, Malane Lighting treats the Flying Leaves model as a semi-custom installation. Bespoken Service includes:

Customized AutoCAD Layouts: Before shipping, Malane provides a 2D/3D drawing based on your room's dimensions. This ensures the "gust" of leaves flows naturally with your furniture placement and ceiling height.

Adjustable Momentum: You can specify the "wind direction." The leaves can be arranged to swoop downward towards a focal point or lift upward into a ceiling void.

Tonal Gradients: While Amber + Clear is the signature look, custom orders often feature a mix of Smoke, Gold Mica, and Silver Mica leaves to match specific metal finishes in the interior.

Expert Tips

The "Infinite" Table: If you have a 12-to-16 seat dining table, the Flying Leaves' 12.8-foot length provides seamless coverage. Position the "tail" of the gust so it tapers off towards the room’s entrance, drawing guests toward the table.

The Staircase Transition: In modern homes where the staircase is visible from the dining room, the Flying Leaves can be installed to "drift" from the stairwell void into the dining space, acting as a visual bridge.

Lighting Strategy: Use the 3000K Warm Light setting to emphasize the amber tones in the glass. This creates a sunset-like glow that feels organic and calming, rather than overly "clinical."

Lead Time: Because of the custom drawing and hand-assembly process, lead times typically range from 10 to 12weeks.
