Glass Feathers Flying Chandelier

While the Angel Wings model captures a singular, massive silhouette, the Flying Glass Feather series focuses on the individual, rhythmic descent of hundreds of glass "plumes." It is designed to turn high-volume air—like that in a grand lobby or a three-story stairwell—into a luminous, weightless installation.

The Flying Glass Feather is defined by its "dissolved" design language. Hundreds of hand-blown glass feathers are suspended independently by ultra-thin, high-tensile aircraft cables. This creates the illusion of a flock of feathers momentarily caught in a draft, cascading through the room. It is a premier choice for grand foyers and commercial atriums where the goal is to create a sense of serenity and grace.

Artisan Craftsmanship & Bespoke Flow

"Support for Customized Drawings": As part of the Malane Bespoken service, this fixture is rarely sold as a "one-size-fits-all." Architects can provide floor plans, and Malane’s design team creates a custom 3D layout to ensure the "flight" of the feathers follows the room's specific curves or vertical voids.

Hand-Blown Plumes: Each feather is crafted from high-clarity crystal glass. The edition often features "Red Shards" or Amber/Gold accents mixed into the clear cluster to add a dash of romantic warmth or luxury.

Integrated LED System: The light source is fully built into the ceiling canopy or tucked into the "core" of the cluster. These LEDs are designed to make the glass feathers appear to glow from within, rather than being lit by external bulbs.

Damp-Rated Integrity: With an IP 20 rating, the model is suitable for humid foyers or covered entryways, though it remains an indoor-only sculptural piece.

Designer Tips

The "Vertical Void" Fill: In a triple-height foyer, the 250cm drop acts as a visual anchor. Position the "flight" so the lowest feather sits roughly 8 feet above the floor, ensuring the installation remains a "cloud" of light above the occupants' heads.

Natural Light Synergy: If your installation area has a skylight, the glass feathers will catch the sun during the day, creating a "shimmering rain" effect that changes as the sun moves.

Dynamic White Tuning: Use the 3000K (Warm) setting for evening events to create a golden, candle-lit atmosphere. Switch to 6000K (Cool) during the day to emphasize the "icy" clarity of the glass feathers and the 2026 trend for "Living Light."

Care Guide

Anti-Static Coating: The feathers are treated with a nano-coating to repel dust.

Cleaning: Due to the complexity of the suspension wires, manual wiping is discouraged. Use a professional non-residue cleaning mist or a canister of compressed air every 12–18 months.

Durability: Every custom order from Malane typically includes 1–5% extra feathers to account for any accidental breakage during the intricate installation process.

Lead Time: Because of the custom drawing and hand-assembly process, lead times typically range from 10 to 12weeks.
