Horo Pendant Lamp

The Horo Pendant is one of the most awarded lighting designs of the decade. It is defined by its distinctive dual-disc architecture: a large circular prism of glass set within a brushed brass frame, paired with a smaller, perpendicular opal glass "eye" that serves as a functional downward spotlight. It remains a favorite for designers who want to inject a sense of "Venetian Heritage" into contemporary, minimalist spaces.

Prismatic Depth & Italian Craft
The "Spectrum Glass" Effect: The core of the Horo is its unique art glass. High-end versions feature a marbled "Spectrum" glass treated with an oleographic varnish. This creates an iridescent prism effect that changes color and intensity based on your viewing angle.

Dual-Light Functionality: While the large disc provides a warm, decorative glow that illuminates the glass texture, the smaller perpendicular diffuser acts as a focused spotlight, making it as functional as it is sculptural.

Brushed Brass Framing: The frame is a continuous band of high-quality brass, providing a heavy, "jewelry-like" finish that grounds the airiness of the colored glass.

Vibrant Palette: Beyond the classic Amber and Smoky glass, the collection features saturated Emerald Green, Rose Pink, and Cerulean Blue, allowing the lamp to act as a primary "color pop" in neutral rooms.

Expert Recommendations
The "Linear Gallery" Kitchen: Install a row of three Emerald Green Horo S1 pendants over a dark stone island. The green glass paired with brass creates a "jewel-box" aesthetic that elevates high-contrast modern kitchens.

The High-End Lounge: Use the S5 (5-Light) Cluster as a central chandelier in a double-height living room. Stagger the heights of the discs to create a "suspended solar system" effect.

The Artful Bedside: Replace a traditional lamp with a single Amber Horo pendant dropped low over a nightstand. The prism effect creates a relaxing, sunset-like atmosphere perfect for winding down.

Practicality & Maintenance
Does it create a rainbow on the walls? Yes. Because of the oleographic varnish on the Spectrum glass, the Horo will cast subtle, prismatic light reflections on nearby surfaces when hit by sunlight or its own internal LED.

Is the LED replaceable? In line with Masiero's quality standards, the LED module is designed for high longevity (50,000+ hours). While not a standard bulb change, the module is serviceable by a professional lighting technician.

How do I clean the prism glass? Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth and a specialized glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive materials, as they can damage the delicate prism varnish on the Spectrum versions.
