Large Seagull Chandelier

The Large Seagull Chandelier by Malane Lighting is a standout in the "Biophilic Motion" category. Designed to capture the effortless, sweeping grace of birds in flight, it translates the organic silhouette of a seagull into a minimalist, luminous sculpture.

It is a favorite for architects looking to add "visual air" to a room — filling a large volume without the heavy, crowded feeling of a traditional crystal or metal-heavy fixture.

The Seagull Chandelier is defined by its clean, curved lines and its "weightless" appearance. Each "bird" is a single, sleek light module that resembles wings spread mid-glide. The Large or Grand configurations — often featuring 12 to 18 individual birds — are the premier choice for grand stairwells, lofts, and open-concept living areas where the objective is to create a serene, sky-like atmosphere indoors.

Sculptural Grace & LED Integration

"Birds in Motion" Aesthetic: Rather than a static frame, the seagulls are suspended at varying heights and angles, creating a sense of a flock in mid-maneuver that adds rhythmic, kinetic energy to the ceiling.

Integrated LED Technology: Ultra-slim, high-CRI (90+) LEDs built directly into the "wing" housing eliminate the need for bulky bulbs and allow the "bird" to maintain its razor-thin, elegant profile.

Multi-Tone Tuning: Features "Dynamic White" tuning — shift between Warm Light (3000K) for a sunset-like glow and Cool Light (6000K) for a crisp, high-visibility daytime look.

Care Guide

The wings are treated with an anti-static nano-coating to prevent dust from clinging to the white acrylic shades. Use a soft microfiber duster or compressed air every 6 months — avoid wet cloths. The integrated LEDs are rated for 50,000+ hours, and Malane's modular design allows individual "birds" to be replaced without dismantling the entire fixture.

Lead Time: Because of the custom drawing and hand-assembly process, lead times typically range from 10 to 12 weeks.

Size Guide

• 12–18 heads (Large) — Best for grand stairwells, double-height living rooms, and open-concept lofts with 12–20 ft ceilings.
• The "Ascending Flock" stairwell: arrange birds so they appear to fly upward toward the roof, guiding the eye through the vertical space.
• The "Horizon" dining room: request a linear custom drawing for long rectangular tables — birds arranged in a narrow wave spanning the table length.
• Works best in rooms with clean lines — let the bird silhouettes act as the primary art element.
• Custom sizing available — provide your room dimensions for a bespoke "flight path" design.

Color Temperature Guide

• 🟡 Warm White (3000K) — Sunset-like golden glow. Creates a serene, residential atmosphere. Best for living rooms, dining rooms & stairwells.
• 🔵 Cool White (6000K) — Crisp, high-visibility daylight. Best for commercial spaces, hotel lobbies & modern architectural installations.
