Lunette Alabaster Wall Sconce

Combining the raw, translucent beauty of natural Spanish alabaster with the weighted, historical feel of antique brass, this fixture is designed to serve as both a sculptural element and a source of atmospheric "glow" lighting.

In the luxury market, this sconce is often associated with boutique collections like Ozarke or high-end studios like Ridgely Studio Works, where it is prized for its ability to soften the hard lines of modern architecture.

Unlike glass sconces that provide sharp, direct light, the alabaster shade acts as a natural diffuser. When lit, the stone’s internal veining becomes visible, creating a "living" texture that is unique to every individual fixture. It is frequently used to add a layer of "Quiet Luxury" to hallways, bedrooms, and master baths.

Natural Stone & Living Finishes

Spanish Alabaster: The model typically utilizes hand-carved, genuine alabaster imported from Spain. The stone is polished to a satin finish, which feels cool to the touch and provides a deep, "wax-like" translucency.

Antique Brass Mounting: The metalwork is finished with a hand-applied "Antique Brass" patina. This is often a "Living Finish," meaning it will continue to develop a unique character over time as it interacts with the environment.

Integrated LED Strips: Moving away from traditional bulbs, the Lunette uses integrated LED modules (3000K) tucked behind the stone. This ensures even illumination across the entire slab without any "hot spots" or visible bulb shadows.

Expert Recommendations

The "Luminous" Mirror Frame: Install a pair of Lunette sconces at eye level on either side of a vanity mirror. The soft, diffuse light filtered through the alabaster is remarkably flattering on skin tones, making it gold standard for "Wellness Bathrooms."

The Architectural Hallway: For long corridors, space the sconces 6 to 8 feet apart. The crescent shape creates a rhythmic pattern of light that guides the eye through the space without the visual clutter of more ornate fixtures.

Bedroom Sanctuary: Use the 2700K (Warm) setting as a bedside reading light. The "Stone Glow" provides enough light for evening relaxation without the blue-light intensity that disrupts sleep cycles.

Care Guide

Stone Care: Alabaster is a porous natural stone. Avoid liquid chemical cleaners; instead, use a dry, soft microfiber cloth to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, a slightly damp cloth with distilled water is sufficient.

Metal Care: Do not use brass polish on the Antique Brass finish, as it may strip the carefully applied patina. A simple dusting with a dry cloth will maintain its "aged" luster.
