Lustre Bowl Collection Chandelier

Moving away from traditional crystal drops, this collection utilizes the "bowl" as a sculptural unit of light, creating an installation that feels both weighted and ethereal.

Like other Malane "Grand Statement" pieces, it is characterized by the "Bespoken" service, allowing the arrangement of bowls to be tailored to the specific volume and architectural curves of your space.

The Lustre Bowl is defined by a series of hand-blown crystal glass bowls that are artfully suspended to create a "wave" or "cloud" of light. The defining visual trait is the contrast between the surfaces: one side of each bowl typically features nano-coated metal gilding (gold or silver), while the other remains a translucent, subtle color finish. When illuminated, the metal reflects the light inward, creating a deep, lustrous glow that emanates from the "hollow" of the bowl.

Metallic Gilding & Fluid Composition

Nano-Coated Gilding: Each crystal bowl is partially treated with a high-tech metallic nano-coating. This creates a mirrored effect that amplifies the light source while providing a sophisticated, opaque contrast to the glass.

Support for Customized Drawings: The bespoke service is a core feature. Malane provides AutoCAD 2D and 3D blueprints based on your floor plan, allowing you to specify the density of the "bowl drift" and the overall height (standard grand height is 340cm, but can be extended).

Integrated Multi-Tone LED: Each bowl contains a discreet, high-CRI (92+) LED engine. The edition allows for Dynamic White tuning, enabling a shift from 3000K (Warm Amber) for evenings to 6000K (Cool Daylight) for daytime architectural emphasis.

Weightless Suspension: The bowls are hung via ultra-fine, high-tensile aircraft cables, making the entire installation appear to float as an independent, luminous entity.

Designer Tips

The "Luminous Wave" Foyer: For entryways with curved architecture, request a S-curve drawing. Arranging the bowls in a wave-like pattern mimics the movement of water, guiding guests into the home with a sense of rhythm.

The "Floating Table" Dining Room: For oversized rectangular tables (12+ seats), a horizontal linear configuration is recommended. Position the bowls in a staggered, airy cloud roughly 36 inches above the table to create an intimate "canopy" of light.

Shadow Play: Because of the metallic gilding on the bowls, this fixture produces a very specific light pattern. It projects curved, golden shadows onto nearby walls. Use matte wall finishes (like lime-wash or clay) to let these geometric light patterns become part of the room’s decoration.

Care Guide
Repellence: The glass and metal surfaces are treated with an anti-static nano-sealant to reduce dust collection.

Cleaning: Due to the "bowl" shape, dust can settle inside the elements. We recommend a professional non-residue cleaning mist or a high-pressure air duster every 12 months. Manual wiping is only advised using specialized microfiber jewelry gloves.

Longevity: The modular LED system is rated for 50,000+ hours, and the drivers are easily accessible within the ceiling canopy for maintenance without needing to touch the glass bowls.

Lead Time: Because of the custom drawing and hand-assembly process, lead times typically range from 10 to 12weeks.
