Ocean Current Chandelier

Designed to mimic the powerful, undulating movement of deep-sea currents, it is one of Malane’s most expansive horizontal fixtures. It is engineered to transform massive architectural voids—such as hotel lobbies, grand corridors, or oversized dining halls—into immersive, aquatic-inspired environments.

The Ocean Current moves beyond simple wave patterns to create a complex, multi-layered "drift" effect. It utilizes hundreds of suspended glass elements that follow a serpentine path, creating a sense of constant, silent motion. It is favored for its ability to provide high-volume "visual weight" without appearing heavy, thanks to its focus on transparency and light refraction.

Deep-Sea Radiance & Bespoke Flow

Hand-Finished Glass "Currents": The fixture is composed of precision-cut glass drops or panes that capture the light like sunlight hitting the surface of the ocean. The signature Gold + Clear finish provides a warm, sunset-on-water glow.

Support for Customized Drawings: Because of its massive standard length (4 meters), the Ocean Current is almost always tailored. Malane provides professional AutoCAD 2D and 3D blueprints, allowing you to adjust the "current" to flow around architectural columns or follow the exact curve of a balcony.

Integrated LED Precision: Features high-output, integrated LED modules with a CRI of 90+. The edition supports Dynamic White Tuning, allowing the space to transition from a 3000K (Warm Sunset) ambiance to a 6000K (Deep Sea Blue) clarity.

Minimalist High-Tensile Suspension: Uses ultra-fine aircraft cables to maintain the "floating" illusion, ensuring the focus remains on the light sculpture rather than the hardware.

Expert Recommendations

The "Infinite" Dining Hall: For tables seating 16 or more, the 4-meter length provides unrivaled coverage. Position the "current" so it flows along the center axis of the table, roughly 36 inches above the surface, to create a grand yet intimate dining atmosphere.

The Grand Lobby Entrance: In a 2026 luxury foyer, use a customized circular drawing. Arranging the current in a massive "whirlpool" or spiral configuration can fill a central void and act as a primary directional guide for guests.

Material Synergy: Pair the Gold + Clear glass with deep, dark materials like Navy Velvet, Polished Marble, or Dark Walnut. The warmth of the gold accents creates a sophisticated "Sunken Treasure" aesthetic that feels both modern and timeless.

Care Guide

Nano-Static Sealant: The glass elements are pre-treated with a coating that repels dust and moisture, a necessity for a fixture of this size.

Cleaning: Due to the scale, manual wiping is nearly impossible. Use a professional non-residue ionic mist or a high-pressure air duster every 12–18 months.

Modular Reliability: The LED drivers are located in a centralized, accessible canopy, allowing for easy maintenance without having to disrupt the suspended glass elements.

Lead Time: Because of the custom drawing and hand-assembly process, lead times typically range from 10 to 12weeks.
