Onda — a single length of Spanish alabaster that dips in the middle, like a ribbon caught mid-fall. Most linear pendants are a straight bar. Onda bends: two level arms of solid stone sweep down into a soft curve at the center, so the light gathers lowest over the middle of the table, exactly where it is needed.
The whole body glows. Lit from within, the alabaster shows its natural veining in drifts of cream, honey and grey along its entire length. Off, it reads as a carved piece of pale marble floating above the table. Two slim brass bands hold the stone, and two brass canopies finish the ceiling end.
Why it is worth the centerpiece
- Real Spanish alabaster, end to end. The body is natural stone, not resin, acrylic or glass. Every piece is cut from a different block, so the veining on yours is one of one.
- A shape you will not see elsewhere. The center dip turns a familiar linear fixture into a sculptural object, and draws the eye down to the table.
- Even, glare-free light. The integrated LED sits inside the stone, so light passes through it: soft on faces, warm on the table, no bright bulbs in view.
- Solid brass details. Brass bands and canopies in a warm satin finish that sits naturally with stone, walnut, oak and plaster.
- Adjustable drop up to 59". Each suspension wire adjusts up to 150 cm, so it can be hung at the right height under standard and high ceilings.
- Three lengths. 39.4", 47.2" and 59.1", to suit anything from a small dining table to a long kitchen island.
Which length is right?
| 39.4" (100 cm) | Dining tables about 60–72" long, islands up to about 6 ft, or rooms up to about 110 sq ft |
|---|---|
| 47.2" (120 cm) | Dining tables about 72–84" long, islands about 6–7 ft, or rooms up to about 130 sq ft |
| 59.1" (150 cm) | Dining tables 84" and longer, islands 8 ft and longer, or rooms up to about 160 sq ft |
As a rule of thumb, choose a fixture roughly half to two-thirds the length of the table or island beneath it, leaving at least 6" of surface clear at each end.

A note on natural stone: alabaster is a natural material. Veining, colour and translucency vary from piece to piece, and yours will differ from the photographs. If you would like a lighter or more heavily veined piece, contact us before ordering and we will do our best to match your preference.
Frequently asked questions
Is the body real alabaster?
Yes. It is solid Spanish alabaster, carved from natural stone — not resin, acrylic or glass made to look like it. The internal veining becomes visible when the light passes through it.
How high should I hang it over a dining table or island?
Hang the lowest point of the curve about 30–34 inches above a dining table and 30–36 inches above a kitchen island. Each suspension wire adjusts up to 59 inches, which suits ceilings up to about 11–12 feet.
Does it need two junction boxes?
It has two canopies, one at each suspension point. One canopy carries power and the other is for support only, so a single junction box is usually enough, with the second canopy fixed to the ceiling. Your electrician will confirm for your ceiling.
Do I need to buy bulbs?
No. The LED is built into the fixture and included.
Is it dimmable?
Ask us before ordering if you need dimming, so we can confirm a compatible driver for your dimmer.
How do I care for the alabaster?
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Alabaster is a soft, porous stone, so avoid water, sprays and chemical cleaners on the stone.
