Pigna Disc Pendant Light

The Pigna Disc Pendant Light is built from dozens of lacquered metal discs, each one angled off a slim central frame so the whole fixture opens outward like a pine cone. Light from the center is caught and thrown back by every disc, which means the glow arrives soft and layered instead of straight down — and the shadows it casts across a ceiling are as much a part of the piece as the fixture itself.

It is a sculpture that happens to be a lamp, so it earns its place over a dining table, a kitchen island, a stairwell, or an entry with double-height ceilings. Four diameters run from 13.8 inches to a full 34.6 inches, and four finishes — White, Matte Grey, Matte Beige, and Black-Gold — change its character completely. The Black-Gold in particular reads dark and quiet when off, then glows warm from inside the discs when lit.

Why you'll love it

• Layered disc shade that softens light and casts a patterned ceiling glow
• Four diameters from 13.8 to 34.6 inch to suit anything from a nook to a great room
• Four finishes — White, Matte Grey, Matte Beige, Black-Gold
• Genuine focal point above a dining table or kitchen island
• Adjustable suspension so you can set the drop to your ceiling height
• Sculptural even when off — it reads as an object, not a light fitting

Finish options

• White: bright and near-invisible against a white ceiling; the most subtle option
• Matte Grey: soft neutral with visible depth between the discs
• Matte Beige: warm sand tone that pairs with oak, rattan, and cream interiors
• Black-Gold: black outer discs with a warm gold interior; dramatic and high-contrast

Where to use the Pigna Pendant

The Pigna works as a dining room pendant light, kitchen island light, stairwell and entry pendant, living room statement light, and bedroom ceiling light — anywhere a room needs one strong focal point rather than several small ones.

Frequently asked questions

What size Pigna do I need over a dining table?
A good rule is a pendant roughly one third to one half the width of your table. The 20.9 inch suits a two- to four-seat table, the 26.8 inch a six-seat table or standard island, and the 34.6 inch a long or wide table in a large room.

How high should I hang it above a table?
Leave about 30 to 36 inches between the bottom of the pendant and the tabletop. That keeps the light useful while staying clear of sightlines across the table.

What kind of light does it give?
Soft and diffused. The angled discs catch the light and bounce it outward rather than letting it fall straight down, which reduces glare and throws a patterned glow onto the surrounding ceiling.

What is it made of?
Lacquered aluminum discs mounted on a polished metal frame. The discs are individually attached, which is what gives the fixture its layered pine cone form.

What bulb does it use?
A standard E26/E27 screw base bulb. A 2700K–3000K warm white LED works best, especially in the Black-Gold finish where warm light picks up the gold interior.

Which finish should I choose?
White disappears into a white ceiling and is the quietest choice. Matte Grey and Matte Beige are soft neutrals, with beige leaning warm alongside wood tones. Black-Gold is the boldest, reading as a dark sculpture when off and glowing warm when lit.

Can the drop height be adjusted?
Yes. The suspension cord can be shortened at installation to suit your ceiling height.
