Plana Faux Alabaster Linear Pendant

At Malane Lighting, we believe that exceptional design should be accessible. The Plana Faux Alabaster Linear Pendant delivers the warm, translucent beauty of natural stone — rendered in premium resin — at a price that makes luxury lighting attainable for every home. Wide, flat, and architecturally bold, the Plana commands attention from the moment it is installed.

The Plana is a faux alabaster pendant light that captures the veined, luminous quality of natural stone through a precisely crafted resin panel. Framed in a slim matte black metal housing and suspended from a matching rectangular ceiling canopy via two thin black cables, it delivers wide, even illumination — making it the definitive alabaster linear pendant light for dining rooms and kitchen islands.

When lit, the resin panel glows with the same warm, diffused light characteristic of genuine alabaster — rich, layered, and deeply atmospheric. As a resin linear ceiling light, it offers all the aesthetic qualities of natural stone with superior durability, consistent colouring, and a more accessible price point. Whether used as a single statement or in a pair over a long table, the Plana is one of the finest luxury linear pendant lights in the Malane collection.

What is faux alabaster and how does it compare to real alabaster?

Faux alabaster is a high-quality resin material engineered to replicate the veined appearance and warm translucency of natural alabaster stone. Compared to real alabaster, it is more durable, lighter in weight, more consistent in appearance, and significantly more affordable — while delivering a near-identical warm glow when illuminated.

Does the Plana pendant look like real alabaster when lit?

Yes. The resin panel is specifically formulated to transmit warm light in the same diffused, layered way as genuine alabaster stone. When illuminated, it creates a rich, atmospheric glow with visible veining — virtually indistinguishable from natural stone in a living environment.

Is the Plana suitable as a dining table linear pendant light?

Absolutely. The Plana's wide, flat panel format is designed to illuminate the full length of a dining table or kitchen island evenly, with no hot spots or dark ends. It is one of our most popular choices for open-plan dining and kitchen spaces.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

Yes. The black suspension cables are adjustable at the ceiling canopy, allowing you to customise the drop height to suit your ceiling height and the surface below.
