Name: Sand Sea Chandelier
Rating: 5.00 (3 reviews)

The Sand Sea Chandelier by Malane Lighting is a centerpiece of the "Coastal Convergence" collection. Designed to capture the rhythmic, ethereal moment where the shoreline meets the tide, it uses a massive, layered arrangement of art glass to evoke the dual energy of shifting sands and fluid waves.

It is celebrated as a "gateways between realms" piece, favored for high-end coastal estates, desert retreats, and luxury hotels that aim to bring the calming geometry of nature indoors.

The Sand Sea Chandelier is defined by its "Dynamic Shoreline" silhouette. It utilizes hundreds of hand-finished glass elements—traditionally in a Clear + Gold or Clear + Amber gradient—to mimic the play of light on wet sand and sparkling water. As part of Malane’s "Bespoken Series," it moves away from rigid shapes in favor of a "Cascading Wave" that can be tailored to the specific wind-flow and volume of your room.

Art Glass & Personalized Geometry

"Support for Customized Drawings": This is a cornerstone of the Sand Sea experience. Malane provides AutoCAD 2D and 3D blueprints based on your specific floor plans. This allows the "wave density" and "gradient drift" to be mathematically balanced for your specific ceiling height or stairwell void.

Artisan Glass "Currents": The fixture is composed of precision-cut glass pieces (ranging from 69 to 285+ pieces in standard sizes) that catch and refract light to create a shimmering, sun-drenched effect.

Integrated Multi-Tone LED: Features a high-CRI (90+) integrated LED system. The model supports Dynamic White Tuning, allowing you to cycle between 3000K (Warm Sand) for cozy evenings and 6000K (Ocean Mist) for a crisp, high-visibility daytime look.

Canopy Flexibility: Available in both Long Canopy (for linear tables) and Round Canopy (for vertical voids), or a "Bricolage" version designed for recessed gypsum ceilings where the pieces appear to "bubble" directly from the roof.

Expert Recommendations

The "Coastal Great Room": For properties with ocean views, position the Sand Sea Chandelier parallel to the horizon. The Clear + Gold glass elements catch the natural sunlight during the day, creating a "secondary horizon" inside the room.

The "Vertical Drift" Entryway: In a double-height foyer, use the Dia 100cm Round Canopy configuration. Arrange the 135+ glass pieces in a descending spiral to mimic the way water swirls around a tide pool, guiding the guest's eye through the space.

Material Synergy: Pair the Clear + Amber finish with earthy, warm textures like travertine stone, white oak, and linen. The golden hues of the glass provide a sophisticated "Sun-Kissed" glow that grounds modern minimalist architecture.

Care Guide

Nano-Static Coating: The glass elements are treated with a specialized sealant that repels dust and moisture, essential for coastal or high-humidity environments.

Cleaning: Due to the complexity of the hundreds of suspended elements, manual wiping is discouraged. Use a professional non-residue ionic mist or a high-pressure air duster every 12 months.

LED Longevity: The modular LED system is rated for 50,000+ hours, and the drivers are easily accessible within the ceiling canopy for maintenance without disrupting the art glass.

Lead Time: Because of the custom drawing and hand-assembly process, lead times typically range from 10 to 12weeks.
