Tidal Stair Chandelier

Specifically engineered to navigate the unique vertical challenges of multi-story stairwells, it captures the raw, shimmering energy of a rising ocean tide.

As part of the "Bespoken Series," it transforms a standard staircase into a cascading light installation, where every glass element is positioned to mimic the fluid momentum of water.

The Tidal Stair Chandelier is defined by its "Water-Textured" glass and extreme vertical drop. Unlike horizontal wave chandeliers, the Stair variant is designed with a vertical orientation to fill the "hollow" of a spiral or U-shaped staircase. It is the premier choice for modern coastal estates and grand entryways, creating a "rain of light" that connects multiple levels of a home through a shared luminous current.

Textural Fluidity & Bespoke Flow

Hand-Finished Art Glass: The fixture utilizes hundreds of individual glass pieces (up to 380+ in grand configurations). Each piece is textured to mimic the surface of water, available in Clear + Gold or Clear + Amber gradients to simulate sunlight hitting the sea.

Support for Customized Drawings: Because no two staircases are the same, Malane provides AutoCAD 3D blueprints to tailor the "cascade" to your specific stairs. You can choose a Tight Spiral for narrow voids or an Expansive Drift for wide, grand stairwells.

Integrated Multi-Tone LED: The model uses a high-CRI (90+) integrated LED system. It features Dynamic White tuning, allowing the light to shift from 3000K (Warm Sunset) to 6000K (Icy Marine), effectively changing the "temperature" of the home's vertical core.

"Invisible" Suspension: Each glass element is hung via ultra-fine, high-tensile aircraft cables. This eliminates visual clutter, making the "tide" appear to be suspended in mid-air without any visible support frame.

Designer Tips

The "Eye of the Storm": Center the chandelier in the absolute middle of your staircase's "void" (the open air between railings). Position the lowest glass element roughly 7.5 to 8 feet above the ground floor to ensure safety while maximizing the visual impact for those walking down the stairs.

Gradient Alignment: For "Nature-Luxe" homes, pair the Gold + Clear glass with Natural Stone or Light Oak stairs. The gold tones in the glass will pick up the warm grain of the wood, creating a cohesive, sun-drenched look.

Shadow Dynamics: Because the glass is textured, the Tidal Chandelier projects "liquid shadows" onto nearby walls. Use a matte wall finish to let these organic, moving patterns act as the primary wall decor.

Care Guide

Nano-Static Sealant: The glass is pre-treated to repel dust, which is critical for fixtures hanging 20+ feet high.

Cleaning: Manual wiping is nearly impossible in a stairwell. Use a professional non-residue ionic mist once every 12–18 months. The mist dissolves dust and evaporates without streaks, dripping safely onto a cloth placed at the bottom of the stairs.

Integrated Service: The LED drivers are located in the ceiling canopy, allowing for easy electrical maintenance without needing to access the hundreds of individual glass elements.

Lead Time: Because of the custom drawing and hand-assembly process, lead times typically range from 10 to 12weeks.
